The Sugar Corporation From Madrid, it held the concession for a railway line 24.978 kilometers long and 600 millimeters wide, for private service and public use for the transport of sugar production and beet derivatives, which were produced in abundance in the fields along the Jarama and Tajuña rivers. From the La Poveda factory, in the municipality of Arganda del Rey, it ran to San Martín de la Vega, Ciempozuelos, and Torrejón de Ardoz, connecting the beet fields with the factory. At this last station, it connected with the MZA line from Madrid to Alcázar de San Juan.
This line had nine steam locomotives, three of them three-axle, built by Orenstein & Koppel, and were responsible for moving wagons in the factory yard, and five five-axle engines, numbered 105 to 109, of higher power, 60 HP, and towing capacity, capable of reaching speeds of 10 to 12 km/h. Built in the year 1910 the same constructor as the previous ones, and which were intended to carry out the line's route. The year 1972 The last beet campaign took place, and the sugar factory and the railway were closed.
The year 1975, the locomotive no. 105 is transferred to the F plantPressed Yeast Factory, in Gavà (Barcelona) where they are located at the entrance to the factory until the year 1995 It is rescued by the Castellar de n'Hug Transport Museum Foundation, with the intention of putting it back into operation to tow a small tourist train along the old industrial railway line that served the Clot del Moro cement factory. For this purpose, it is sent to workshops in Asturias in 2002 for its repair. A year later, it begins its circulation at Clot del Moro, but due to the poor inscription of the locomotive's five axles on the tight curves of this line's track, it was decided not to operate it and to acquire new towed stock and diesel locomotives.
In 2008, the locomotive was acquired by National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) and that it was ceded in deposit and custody to Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), which in turn, in 2024, ceded it to the’Association for the Preservation of Industrial Railway Heritage (APPFI), and it is transferred to Móra la Nova, the operational restoration has just been carried out to guarantee its operation on the tracks of this Museum.
