Conservation, repair, maintenance, and restoration of railway heritage and industrial heritage

APPFI Gestió de Projectes SL is a limited liability company created in 2019 by APPFI (Association for the Preservation of Industrial Railway Heritage) with the objective of providing services to third parties and to APPFI itself, the promoter of the Railway Museum in Móra la Nova.

The company's purpose is to provide services for the conservation, repair, maintenance, and restoration of railway heritage and industrial heritage, encompassing the architectural, infrastructure, and movable elements and vehicles.

Works jointly with APPFI, which began its restoration activity in 2010 and shares the facilities of the Railway Museum in Móra la Nova, where it carries out restoration activities in a workshop built for this purpose.

Obtain from the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF) approval as a railway maintenance center for historic rolling stock, with the capacity to certify its work so that it can circulate on the ADIF general interest railway network.

APPFI, for its part, obtains certification in the 4 railway maintenance functions in 2025, also through the AESF and ERA (European Union Agency for Railways), which allows it to certify railway vehicles suitable for circulation on the national networks of European countries that are members of ERA.

Historic Railways of the Ebro

In 2025, APPFI Gestió de Projectes SL founded Ferrocarrils Històrics de l’Ebre S.A., a company with the objective of operating and developing tourist and cultural products linked to railway heritage, specifically in the form of historic trains capable of running on ADIF's general interest railway network. With this goal, in 2026, it obtained the title of railway operating company from the Spanish Railway Safety Agency.
