In the second half of the 1960s, as part of the CGFC Modernization Plan, a decision was made to replace the old Fordson shunting tractors with vehicles better suited to the new central workshops being built opposite the Martorell-Enllaç station. The proposal chosen was for two small 30 HP tractors from the manufacturer Metalúrgica de San Martín (M.S.M.). M.S.M. had already built this model for numerous industrial railways, as its small size and good power-to-weight ratio made it the most suitable for moving carriages and wagons within the workshops in this case.
The first unit was delivered in mid-1967, followed shortly by the second. At C.G.F.C. they received the numbering 811 and 812. From their arrival at the Martorell-Enllaç facilities until their retirement in the second decade of the 2000s, they were always used for shunting, one in the motor equipment shed and the other in the rolling stock shed.
In 2024, FGC transferred locomotive 812 to the Móra la Nova Museum, where its complete operational restoration has been carried out, recovering the original couplings to facilitate the maneuvers for which it was acquired fifty years ago.
